let me just talk about why I love twitter for a sec.

In this day and age, we have so many choices w/r/t social media.  There’s facebook for the people who feel lonely, google+ for the people who see the future (more on that later), and foursquare for people who like being stalked.  But for the people who really understand and appreciate social media for its true essence, there is Twitter.

Twitter is everything you need out of a social medium, but presented in a simple, almost zen-like way.  Every tweet you read is short, sweet and to the point.  This is obviously due to the 140-character limit, which in my eyes is the smartest thing about the medium.  If you’ve got something to say, say it, and do it fast.  You’ll never find paragraphs of mindless drivel on Twitter, and even if somebody is tweeting mindless drivel, you can just not read their material.

The other thing that really appeals to me about twitter is its privacy.  Facebook users can plug in literally anything about their life that they want people to know; where they work, go to school, what car they drive, the color of their nosehair, literally anything.  That’s why stalking is a real issue w/r/t facebook: because all your information (and not to mention photographs) are all stored there and stay there.  With twitter, there’s a  degree of personal space which is not apparent in any other social media.  Other users can find out what city you live in, your real name (if you provide it), and they can see your current profile picture.  Isn’t that nice? It’s simple. It’s clean. It’s perfect.

TL;DR- get a Twitter account if you haven’t already. it’s the best social medium out there, and its cool. Pc.
